Description

The exhibition invites you to explore the incredible diversity of sharks, rays, and skates from oceans around the globe

Join RAMP and the Shark Trust this July for Sharks in Focus, an inspiring and thought-provoking photography exhibition hosted at Ocean Studios.

This free event showcases the stunning finalists of the Shark Trust Photography Competition. Featuring 34 breathtaking images, the exhibition invites you to explore the incredible diversity of sharks, rays, and skates from oceans around the globe. Each photograph captures the beauty and fragility of marine life, inviting viewers to connect with these misunderstood creatures and the challenges they face in a rapidly changing world.

More than just an art display, this exhibition is a celebration of where environmental science and creative expression collide. Through the lens of skilled photographers the exhibition highlights the importance of ocean conservation and the role sharks play in maintaining healthy marine ecosystems.

Visitors are not only encouraged to admire the images, but also to engage with them by voting for their favourite. The image that receives the most votes will win the People’s Choice Award, with the winning photographer receiving a remarkable prize: a handcrafted shark sculpture made entirely from beach-collected trash by eco-artist Scapa Joe.

The exhibition is perfect for nature lovers, photographers, families, students, and anyone curious about the natural world. It offers a rare opportunity to learn about marine biodiversity, the environmental threats facing sharks, and how creativity can become a force for conservation.

Entry is free, and every vote helps raise awareness for these incredible animals.

Book your visit now and discover how art and science can work together to protect the blue heart of our planet.
