Re-using and Reimagining Your Old Prints:

A series of three workshops designed to foster collaboration, exploration and play via reusing, repurposing and collaging old prints/papers/scraps and cardboard.

At Ocean Studios, Royal William Yard on Saturday, April 12th and Saturday, May 3rd 2025, 5th July 2025

They are aimed at printmakers, and are designed to be stand-alone but work together as a series.

Timings – 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Bring your lunch (food and drinks are available in the cafe).

SESSION ONE

Making Simple Artist’s Books: Saturday, April 12th

Using your old prints and offcuts, we will learn how to make simple artist’s books using a variety of techniques, such as basic instant books, instant accordions, accordions with spines, basic accordions with stitched covers, and basic 3-hole pamphlets and combinations of these.

Some supplies, such as glue, needles and thread will be provided, but you will need to bring along some old prints and offcuts of varying paper weights.

These simple books can be embellished further with stitches, collage, paint, pencil or crayons at a later date.
