Print in Action: A Celebration of Creativity, Community & Collaboration

Earlier this year, Print in Action returned to RAMP with a vibrant weekend of hands-on workshops, artist talks, exhibitions, and creative exchange — and what a weekend it was!

With over 300 attendees, the event brought together a dynamic mix of artists, students, facilitators, and curious creatives from across the region. From seasoned printmakers to first-time dabblers, everyone found something to spark their imagination.

What Happened Across the Weekend?

  • 26+ live demos and tasters each day, including a print trail that led visitors through a variety of techniques and styles.
  • 37 artists showcased their work in the P is for Print exhibition.
  • 29 stallholders filled the Print Fair with everything from zines to fine art prints.
  • 7 inspiring talks, including a panel discussion, drew in engaged audiences eager to learn and connect.
  • A Masterclass offered deeper learning for those ready to level up their skills.
  • Our Print Resident Exchange and Studio Holder Exchange brought together 13 artists for collaborative making and creative dialogue.

Why It Matters

Print in Action isn’t just about ink and paper — it’s about community, experimentation, and access. With support from local institutions and a passionate team of volunteers (including students and graduates from Arts University Plymouth), the event created a space where people could learn, share, and grow.

Whether you were pulling your first print, discovering a new technique, or connecting with fellow creatives, the weekend was a reminder that print is alive and thriving — and it’s for everyone.

What’s Next?

We’re already dreaming up the next edition of Print in Action. If you missed this one, don’t worry — there’s more to come. Until then, keep creating, keep connecting, and keep printing.
