Learn how to create fabric decoration using the sun and cyanotype processes with Printmakers Beth Munro and Suzanne Drummond with RAMP @OceanStudios
This is a fun session for anyone who wants to explore what can be achieved using cyanotype chemicals and the sun. If the weather is not sunny, never fear, we have a large UV light box which will do the job just as well. Word of warning – this activity is a bit addictive!
In the Session:
- You will learn what the cyanotype process is, it’s history and applications.
- You will be shown how to prepare cyanotype chemicals and how to use them safely.
- You will experiment using paper and a variety of fabric samples.
- We will show you how to create, silhouettes, textures, patterns and Images.
- We will provide all the materials, equipment and PPE.
This session will be held in the ScreenPrint room @Ocean Studios
If you have problems finding us, go to the cafe @Ocean Studios and as a member of staff to direct you to the workshop space.
All materials and PPE will be provided.
